Hiya. We are most delighted to introduce this young achiever, Ramprakash Ramamoorthy. Currently working with Zoho Inc. He will be our new adviser of Technical and Business Development.
It was a delight moment when Ram was introduced to us from a mutual friend. A small guy with million wonders. The best thing about him, he personally encourages other students (mostly his college juniors) to take a different path in career.
Ram, himself is a great student. Here are some of the things that speaks more about him-
• Was among the international top 25 teams at the Yahoo Open Hack India, 2011. Had developed a location aware android application in 24 hours. The application will be launched to the public very soon.
• Won the General Proficiency award, a prestigious gold medal award, given to only one student in the school, for two consecutive years 2007 & 2008
• Participated in Sun Microsystems Code for freedom contest in 2008 and developed a prison management application
• Was honoured with the Young Achiever award by Junior Chamber India(JCI) during 2007 for all round performance.
Despite an interesting thing, out of his final 12 months in B.Tech, He was just present for 3 months in my college. The rest 9 months he was been working for Zoho!
Other Projects
• Worked for the Challenge team of Zoho Corporation[https://challenge.zoho.com] for a period of 75 days. Was responsible for developing the flash cards module for Zoho Challenge.
• Developed the Student Toolkit for SASTRA University and is live at http://toolkit.sastra.edu
• Developed the online feedback system for SASTRA University and is live at www.sastra.edu/feedback.
• Developed a website for School of mechanical engineering, SASTRA University for their International Conference on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems(ICIMS-2011). It is live at www.sastra.edu/icims2011. The site is built on the CMS drupal.
Still more to happen, We will be supporting Ram for more great work and cheer it all.
